Guam Liberation Day 2013 Picnic

Community Park in Fairborn, Ohio just outside of Dayton, Ohio

I got a request on Facebook from Joyce Aguon to see the images of the Guam Liberation Day 2013 picnic earlier today. I have uploaded them here, please share with anyone you may have known to be there. For everyone else, this was a celebration of the Liberation of Guam, July 21st, 1944. The event was held at Community Park in Fairborn, Ohio.

There was a ton of chamorros, people from Guam, and a ton of chamorro food. Some highlights of the food were the pig, empanadas, red rice, keleguan, and even some coconut water. There was a lot of socializing followed by a hula performance by the Spirit of the Pacific Islands Dancers.
