The Italian Fall Festa at the Bella Villa Hall in Kettering, Ohio runs Friday September 7, 2012 through Sunday September 9, 2012. There is live musical entertainment, bocce ball tournaments, and of course great food. I will post more shots, but this night was all about the food. The booths have pizza, sausage onions and peppers sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, muffaletta sandwiches, cannolis, Italian cakes and cookies, sfingi, gelato, spumoni, Italian ice, calzones, various Italian soups, Italian deli salads, Italian breads, and each day there is a special dish found inside.

I got down to Bella Villa right after work in between rain storms. I arrived around 5:45 and the event was scheduled to start at 6:00pm and ran to every booth and tried to get shots of them making the food. The smells were intoxicating, caramelizing onions and peppers, the searing of Italian sausages, and baking of the ziti being cooked inside of the lodge.
The only advice I will give you is to make sure you stop at the ATM, cash only. After a full day of waiting to get to the festival to get my baked ziti and my wife her tiramisu, I realized that I only had four dollars in cash. FML. Well at least I had enough to get the tiramisu. The good news is, I have two more days to go back…and I will. Tomorrow more Italian Festa and I will be heading over to the Greek Festival as well.
